Today's letter is P.

P is for pretty, perfect presents and posh provisions new at the shop!

P is for Pinkerton Design and their fabulous new garden-inspired journals. How sweet are they? The perfect end-of-school gift for letter writing, documentation for the budding journalist or for keeping that summer diary.

P is for Paddywax and the incredible. eco-chic soy candles we just received! The Eco Collection from Paddywax has everything we love at Gus & Ruby Letterpress: beautiful and environmentally-conscious packaging, delicious scents (like my fave, Thyme and Olive Leaf!), and clean-burning soy wax. P is perfect!

Hi friends,

Whit and I are back from a fabulous trip to NYC where we found some totally rad new products for the store, met with some seriously inspiring people and generally went gaga over paper delights! Please take a few minutes to vote HERE and write-in Gus & Ruby Letterpress for your favorite Shop for Invitations (Category #35). We could really use your help to spread the Gus & Ruby word - so please, please, please VOTE and ask your friends and family to vote, too! Thanks guys, you're the best. :)

Have a great day!

Emersonmade is in full bloom at G&R!!

(All photos by Brea McDonald Photography)

We've been waiting to write this post for about a week now, but we think the addition of these lovely in-store photos from the oh-so-talented Brea McDonald makes it well worth the wait.

Gus & Ruby Letterpress is proud to announce that we are one of a handful of boutiques nationwide that are carrying the a-maz-ing emersonmade fabric flowers and goodies and we're the only store on the Seacoast!! If you're wedding, design, cute-things, chic-accessories obsessed, like we are, it's very likely that you've already stumbled upon emersonmade - they've been featured on quite a few fabulous blogs (Design*Sponge 100 Layer Cake, Brooklyn Bride, and Elements of Style to name a few) already! Emersonmade is a small company started by a wife/hubby team and they are based, surprisingly enough, out of Somersworth, NH! All of the fabric pins, clips, clutches, bracelets and banners are all hand-dyed and hand-assembled and are absolutely to-die-for.

Whitney and I can't stop wearing them around the store - they are the perfect addition to any outfit. While we've only had them out in the store for about a week or so, we're already placing a new order (yay for patterned clutches!)! These puppies are flying off the shelf - stop by soon for pick-of-the-litter in our new shipment. A few of our favorite items and some ideas about how to wear them:

Clutches
Pretty sure you gals out there know how to use and wear a clutch. But let me tell you, people, these clutches are just the most wonderful clutches I've seen in some time. The amazing, textural fabric flowers and bright bold colors and patterns make them a Spring/Summer must-have!

Flower Pins and Poppers
These hand-dyed fabric pins and clips are just the most fabulous accessory I've come across in ages. From an mid-week outfit pick-me-up to a lapel accent for your guy, they turn every look into something special. The roses, dahlias and poppy blooms come in tiny popper sizes (1-1.5" diameter), medium (3" diameter), large (5" diameter) and extra-large (7" diameter) and in an array of amazing colors and pin or clip backings. We're especially loving them as:

- Accents on wedding dresses (think a big red poppy bloom along your sash or clipped into your hair!)
- Fabulous bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts (Umm, hello adorable yellow rose pin on a handsome groomsman!)
- Clipped onto the lapel of your Spring coat for a pop of color (Friday purple poppy, anyone?)
- Favors for your wedding! (Come talk to us about having poppers and tiny buds made with custom-messages on fabric ribbon for your wedding or event!)

Wrist Corsages
These adorable wrist corsages, complete with vintage-inspired velvet ribbon, make adorable birthday gifts, bridesmaid thank-yous and happy-day-indulgences. I've taken to wearing mine with a cute neutral cardigan and letting it take center stage in my outfit. I can't stop feeling the luxurious ribbon, either. Fabulous!
