A customized vintage-Maine save the date

Hello pals, I hope you're enjoying this September Wednesday. Thank you all SO very much for the fabulous response to our give-away on Oh So Beautiful Paper last week. We received over 140 comments/entries and there were some WAY cute traditions and memories in those entries.

Today, I want to bring you a super fabulous save the date that we worked on with our dear clients Katie & Tyler (hi, guys!). Katie & Tyler came to us by way of their planner (and our friend), Melanie, of Blissful Beginnings. They were in need of an invitation suite that reflected the vintage Maine style of their coastal (well, island, really!) wedding. They wanted something that conveyed the vintage summer resort look of their venue while also having a personal touch.

Right away, Katie & Tyler fell in love with the Victrola design (below) from one of our favorite albums, Bella Figura. They loved the vintage feel and detailed design but wanted to add a few more personal touches.

So, we found inspiration in their venue - the fabulous Chebeague Island Inn on Chebeague Island, Maine - as well as in the the Ferry boats that take you from the mainland to the island. The boats have become an iconic symbol for this island gem so it seemed fitting that we give them a starring role in the design. The result, featuring custom illustration of a ferry, was a save the date that perfectly set the tone for their Maine nuptials and gave guests a taste of what was to come. Pretty adorable, don't you agree?
